the press.........
A word of caution:
I found it very difficult to get the press
interested. I contacted various programs such as Australian Story,
State Line, A Current Affair, Four Corners and the West Australian.
Only Colleen Eagan of the West Australian showed any interest and
the story you are told is going to be publsihed, can be very
different to what actually does get published!

The press likes to argue the importance of a free
press and the rights of the public to know. But the press is no
different to any other business, they are only interested in stories
that sell. The commercial press in particular, is interested mainly in
aussie battler stories, if you are well off and educated, they are not
so interested, as to many of their viewers feel you have deserved it
(see the uniquely
Australian Tall Poppy Syndrome).
The West Australian did however,
publish a short story in late 2010.
Since then, I have been unable to get any further coverage, as I have
been told by one journalist, that they cannot publish the contents of
the
transcripts I have
made of my meetings with ICWA and the WA Ombudsman, out of fear of
prosecution, for violating the public servants right to privacy, when he
is dealing with a member of the public.
These privacy rights seem to remain in force, even when a public
servant is abusing his powers, not acting correctly, threatening a
member of the public or possible committing a criminal offence.

Tall poppy syndrome:
If you think this can only happen to well off individuals. Think
again, anybody whether you are a single mum, child, pensioner or
unemployed person can wind up in the same situation. The innocent
victim of a motor vehicle accident only needs to require 24/7
medical care for the rest of his life for his compensation claim to
amount to millions of dollars. (more) |

|
Purpose:
This
site is meant to both inform the public of the faults of the WA Third
Party Compensation System and the outragoeous actions or lack thereof
of the very instituitions that are meant to protect the public from
the excesses of goverment institutions. (more)

My personal target, is to overturn a miss carriage of justice, restore
my good name, regain my dignity, improve my health and that of my
family, obtain compensation that takes into account ALL the evidence,
as ICWA is supposed to do and hopefully make a contribution to change
how innocent victims are treated and compensated in Western Australia.
